Mohamad Nour Badr

R&D Engineer Software - Full Stack Developer

Location: Nice Tel: 0758014269

About me

I'm a full-stack software engineer with hands-on experience across Java, Angular, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript stacks, plus a research background in IoT and smart systems. At Ciril Group, I worked on backend development in Java and frontend features in AngularJS, while also owning test automation with Cypress and JUnit5 — including daily reporting on Jenkins CI results. At Amadeus, I focused on Angular/TypeScript development for pricing-control tools, building new features and maintaining reliability through E2E testing with Karma and Playwright.

Alongside industry work, I've contributed to applied research through the EU-DREAM project, combining IoT, AI, and semantic web technologies (RDF) to help reduce household energy consumption — work that's given me practical experience turning research concepts into usable, scalable tools.

I hold a Master's in Cyber-Physical-Social Systems from Jean Monnet University and École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, an M1 in Software Engineering and Network Systems from Hungary, and a Bachelor's in Software Engineering from Al-Baath University. I'm comfortable moving across the stack — from backend APIs to frontend UI to test infrastructure — and I'm looking for roles where I can keep building production software while staying close to research-driven problems like IoT, data processing, and smart transportation.

Work Experiences

R&D Software Engineer - Full stack developer

Ciril Group - France - Lyon

(07/2023 -04/2024)

I was working as a software R&D engineer and full-stack developer.

During my tenure as a Software R&D Engineer and Full-Stack Developer, I successfully tackled numerous challenges, addressing various issues and implementing numerous modifications. My expertise primarily revolved around Java for back-end development and Angular for front-end solutions.

Also, I was working on the testing side, where I worked with Cypress framework, and I was responsible for preparing a daily report about the testing results for Jenkins-Jobs and the reasons for failing tests.

Software Engineer - Full-stack developer

AKKODIS/Amadeus - France - Nice

05/2024 - 11/2024

As a Front-End Developer at Amadeus, I contributed to Pricing Control projects using Angular and TypeScript. My role involved designing and implementing new features to enhance the application's functionality and user experience, as well as identifying and resolving interface bugs to ensure smooth performance.

I also played a key role in maintaining code quality and reliability by writing comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) and automated tests using Karma and the Playwright framework. This experience honed my skills in front-end development, testing, and collaboration within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Software Engineer - Full-stack developer

AKKODIS - France - Nice

12/2024 - 06/2025

I contributed to the EU-DREAM research project, which focuses on analysing customers' energy consumption and reducing power usage by examining the devices in use and identifying the most effective ways to lower energy consumption.

My contributions include analysing project requirements, proposing innovative ideas, and collaborating closely with the team to design and develop practical solutions. Drawing on my expertise as a full-stack developer, I apply skills in Angular, TypeScript, RDF, and semantic web technologies, as well as data science methodologies, to address complex challenges and ensure the project's success. By integrating my technical expertise with collaborative teamwork, I play a key role in driving the project's objectives forward.

Additionally, EU-DREAM designs and implements innovative digital technologies to empower citizens in the just energy transition. The project integrates Digital Twins (DT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to simplify user interactions with energy platforms through intuitive visualisation tools and voice-based control. I contributed to building these intelligent systems by developing data-driven solutions, supporting user-friendly digital experiences, and ensuring scalability and interoperability across platforms. My work enabled the project to transform complex energy concepts into accessible, practical tools for both experienced and non-experienced citizens, ultimately giving them greater control over their energy use.

Stage M1-Mobility and Ethics

(04/2020 - 09/2020)

Study making a mechanism for reducing the congestion of the traffic and the pollution of the vehicles by studying the drivers' ethical side. We did that By giving them different options for their trips to use other transportation modes, with less environmental pollution impact. Also, I Participated in writing part of the code used in the platform to simulate the movement of the vehicles.
